TMI ENTRY
TMI (Technical Maintenance Input) Entry is used to enter journey and maintenance log data in RAAS. TMI records include Time Updates of hours and landings in addition to Maintenance Details. The hours and landing values entered in a TMI post increment aircraft totals by a like amount; it is this process of accumulation that allows RAAS to track pending maintenance tasks.
When entering log data, the TMI clerk records part installations, removals, and constraint compliance. A constraint determines the maintenance interval of a part or an inspection, indicating how often maintenance must occur. Compliance is the action of carrying out constrained maintenance with respect to aircraft records. A part or inspection may have multiple constraints, for example, a propeller overhaul with hours and calendar usage limited at 3500 hours and 60 months, respectively.
Installation, removal, and constraint compliance are maintenance actions, and it is this maintenance action data that TMI uses to update the maintenance status of an aircraft.
